Healthy Recipes

I first tasted this awesome recipe at a friends house a few years ago.  These friends do not cook with sugar, instead they use many natural sweeteners like honey and stevia. They have invented some AMAZING recipes over the years.

This particular recipe is truly amazing, my husband says that it is the best chocolate mousse he has ever tasted!

The texture is silky smooth and literally just melts in your mouth.  This is a chocolate mousse that you can eat without feeling (too) guilty! Enjoy!

Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients:
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cups of cream

Directions:

1. Separate eggs.
2. Melt the butter, honey, and cocoa over a very low heat, constantly stirring to make sure it doesn't burn.
3. Remove from heat and stir in egg yokes till it is glossy.
4. Put in the fridge to cool.
5. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
6. Whip cream then gently fold into the chocolate mixture.
7. Gently fold the egg whites into the cream and chocolate mixture, chill in the fridge.
8. Serve into small bowls. Serve with cream on the side (optional). Enjoy.

If you enjoyed that recipe, you will probably enjoy this one as well.  This chocolate brownie, also has no sugar in it, it has a mixture of vegetables and fruits and is topped off with an avocado frosting.  So healthy, you could eat it for breakfast!
